My best friend called me the other day with this little story about her son.
Her: You will never guess what my son (her 10 yr old) told his Grandma
Me: What?
Her: That he was going to have to work on being more mature and responsible
Me: Why is that? (With a laugh)
Her: Because he said he needed to set a good example on being a great big brother for your little Chloe
Me: Oh is that just the cutest thing ever?
I love him he is so dang adorable. I know this all stemmed from a conversation I had with him a few weeks ago. We had been talking about whether or not Chloe would get a brother or sister and I had told him I just didn’t know. He said he was sad he would never get to be a big brother since his older brother wasn’t the nicest to him. He had told me he wanted to show how good of a big brother he could be. I told him that night he could be my Chloe’s big brother and he seemed content with that solution. What 10-year-old boy talks like this? It’s like he is an old soul schooling us adults on what is most important.
