Malibu is more than an obsession for me these days. Before I use to date my husband and knew that his family lived so close to this wonderful town I use to sit next to my cubical mate at work daydreaming and talking about how I was going to live in Malibu someday. The question is the same as is it was then, “How and the heck will I ever afford it?” Big or small it doesn’t matter the prices of things are just so far beyond my reach it’s not even funny. You would think that would stop the average person from the obsession? I guess that means I am not average. So here is a picture of my dream house. I have it as my screen saver, I visit it often when I am here, (not in a stalker kind of way) and I absolutely just love it. Bam! Amazing Right?

Then this is the tiny little house we rented for a month one summer and it’s just as adorable to me. It’s weird but I almost like it better than my dream house. It had an amazing view, it’s own pool & hot tub, (that we went skinny dipping in & locked ourselves out but that story is for another time) and a fun little front door that the top opened up separate from the bottom to smell the ocean breeze. My little dog loved sitting in the big bay window, as did I just watching the dolphins jump. I guess my bottom line is Malibu with any address would work for me.
PS Today I had a view of the beautiful ocean and over-the-top sandwich at my favorite Malibu deli. That makes a Colorado girl smile big! Not to mention it was the inspiration for this post.

Hey! Following you from the hop! Hope you have a great Sunday!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful place you rented! I've never been to Malibu! I'm very jealous! I haven't been on a vacation for almost 10 years and am in desperate need! LOL
