New Years

I don’t know why but I have never really liked New Years Eve. To me there is always something slightly sad about this holiday. Could it mean that the holidays are officially over and January always seems so dull in comparison? Or is it all the looking back over the year? Whether it was good or bad the perfectionist in me always wants to do things better. Then there are all these resolutions in the making. Why on earth do people do that so they can make a plan to change something about themselves only to break it by mid January and feel even worse about it than before the plan was made? Pppffttt on resolutions! If anything New Years should just be a lesson to constantly remind yourself of how lucky you really are, and how wonderful you already are!

  1. For years my husband and I didn't even celebrate New Year's Eve. We went to bed and said, "See you next year." This year was the first time in ages that we went to a fireworks display, and it made New Years seem more special.
